About Us

The power of Salem Baptist Church. We blend Baptist roots with Apostolic fire, expecting miracles.

Where it started

I was at a conference hosted by the late Ambassador Ricky D. Floyd at The Pursuit of God. A guest from Texas—Prophet Daniel Pringle—called me out and spoke a word that felt…unrealistic. After the service, he asked to meet. He told me God was pulling me out of tradition and into an apostolic assignment. He gave an instruction I had never heard before: hold communion on the church grounds and pour the cup on the land. He said, “You’ll see a tremendous move of God.”

He asked to come. We set the service for a Sunday evening in the fall of 2011, at  7:00 PM.

The Holy Spirit met us. The service didn’t end until midnight. People were slain at the altar, praying and speaking in tongues. For a church family shaped by traditional Baptist rhythms, this was not a “normal church.” It was holy disruption. In that moment, I knew: something had shifted.

As a pastor, I felt both awakened and undone. I could not go back to business as usual, yet I couldn’t map where God was taking us. The Holy Ghost ministered to me and made the call clear: a new mantle—miracles, signs, and wonders—would follow this house. Since that night, that is precisely what we’ve seen.

Soon after, we formally joined the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, honoring our Baptist roots while embracing Spirit-filled expression and apostolic order.

What “The Supernatural” means here

“The Supernatural” is not a slogan. It’s our assignment.

  • Jesus at the center. We preach the gospel, practice communion, and hold Scripture as final authority.

  • Word & Spirit together. Sound doctrine with living demonstration (Mark 16:17-18; Acts 2).

  • Prayer first. We fast, intercede, and expect God to answer—publicly and personally.

  • Healing & deliverance. We contend for wholeness—body, soul, and finances—in Jesus’ name.

  • Altars that alter lives. We make room for the presence of God, not just a program.

  • Order with overflow. We steward gifts, accountability, and covering so freedom stays fruitful.

Why is this unique in our region?

In the Mason–Tipton corridor, you’ll find faithful churches. What you won’t find everywhere is this blend:

  1. Baptist foundation, Pentecostal fire. Historic Baptist conviction with Book-of-Acts expectation.

  2. Presence-driven services. We plan, but we yield. When God moves, we move.

  3. Documented testimonies. Our people have stories—healings, restorations, financial breakthroughs—and we guard the integrity of those testimonies with follow-up and care.

  4. Community transformation. From schools to families to marketplace partnerships, we expect the supernatural to spill into everyday life.

  5. Covering and accountability. We operate under Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship International and trusted pastoral peers, so zeal stays aligned with wisdom.

The night that renamed us

That fall evening in 2011 changed our language and our lifestyle. We didn’t chase a brand; a moment with God renamed our house. From then on, Salem Baptist Church became known as “The Place of the Supernatural.” Not because every service is sensational, but because every service is surrendered. Some Sundays are quiet, others are thunder—but the same God moves through both.

Our commitment to you

  • We will teach the Word, not trends.

  • We will pursue the presence, not performance.

  • We will shepherd people, not chase platforms.

  • We will steward testimonies with integrity and care.

From Pastor T. Ray Greer, Jr.

“In 2011, God interrupted our routine and reintroduced us to His power. Since then, our promise has been simple: make room for Jesus and expect the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. If you’re hungry for more than ‘church as usual,’ welcome home.”
